This policy describes what this website collects, why, and how long it is kept. It is written to match how the site actually works rather than as generic boilerplate.
It is a starting point provided with the site, not legal advice. Uproar Impex should have it reviewed against the data-protection law of every market it sells into before relying on it.
What we collect
The only information this website asks you for is what you type into the enquiry form. Nothing on the site requires an account, and there is no shop, so no payment details are ever collected.
- Your name and email address, which are required to answer you.
- Your company name, phone number and country, if you choose to give them.
- The subject and body of your enquiry, and which enquiry type you selected.
- Which page the enquiry was sent from — a product page records the style you were looking at, so we can answer without asking you to repeat yourself.
What is recorded automatically
When an enquiry is submitted, the server records a small amount of technical information alongside it. This exists to detect automated abuse of a public, unauthenticated form and for no other purpose.
- The IP address the request came from.
- Your browser's user-agent string and preferred language.
- The referring page, where your browser sends one.
- An automated spam score derived from the message content.
How it is used
Enquiry details are used to answer your enquiry and to carry out any business that follows from it — quoting, sampling, production and shipping. Our team can add internal notes to an enquiry while working it.
We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for advertising. You will not be added to a marketing list by sending an enquiry.
Cookies and analytics
This website sets no advertising or analytics cookies. The only cookie the application issues is a session cookie for staff signing into the administration panel, which is never set for a public visitor.
Your theme preference — light or dark — is stored in your own browser and never sent to us.
How long it is kept
Enquiries are retained as commercial records. Deleting an enquiry from our inbox marks it as deleted and removes it from everyday use, but the record is retained so that historical correspondence about an order still resolves.
If you want your enquiry permanently erased, write to the contact form on this website and say so — we will remove it and confirm.
Who else sees it
Enquiries are visible to Uproar Impex staff with access to the administration panel, and to the hosting and database providers that operate the infrastructure this site runs on. They are not shared with anyone else.
Your rights
You can ask what we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be erased. Write to the contact form on this website and we will respond within a reasonable period.
Depending on where you live, you may also have a right to complain to a data-protection authority.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the revised version is published on this page. Enquiries already sent continue to be handled under the terms in force when they were sent.
